Ingrid Kirst

Ingrid’s consulting focuses on strengthening nonprofit leadership especially during transitions. Her popular Successful Transitions cohort program has helped many organizations plan for the development of future leaders through comprehensive succession planning. She has also provided executive search services so that organizations in transition can hire the right leader for them. Ingrid's consulting work has served organizations in the areas of domestic violence, advocacy, social services, the arts, immigrant rights, and many more. She is also a trained facilitator and board trainer.

Prior to consulting, Ingrid served for eleven years as the executive director of a food systems nonprofit, where she built the fledgling organization to be a community institution. She has worked for multiple human service organizations, has served as a nonprofit board member and board chair and also led three nonprofit organizations in an interim executive director role. Ingrid holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska.
