Diane Patrick

Diane Patrick is a senior consultant with an extensive nonprofit and government organizational development portfolio. Diane’s practice areas include governance, turnarounds, organizational assessment, strategic planning and training, and Diane has deep experience in the community development and human service arenas.

From 1996-2008, Diane played senior organizational development, consulting and training roles for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) in Kansas City and New York. Earlier in her career, Diane managed human service programs for the state of Missouri for over 20 years, highlighted by President Clinton’s recognition of FUTURES, an innovative, public-private partnership for welfare reform.

Diane has led successful organizational turnarounds throughout her career. At the state of Missouri, she led a successful turnaround for a welfare application processing department that had drifted from federal mandates and into federal court ordered operations. Within a year of Diane’s leadership, the court order was lifted and the department became the go-to, sought after department for casework staff, far exceeding federal requirements.  Diane has also provided assessment, capacity building training and consulting to several Community Development Corporations (CDCs), providing the critical assistance needed to turn these agencies from underperforming or failing into highly successful organizations, which continue operations today.

Certified in the Global Learning approach to adult education, she also holds Masters and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science from University of Missouri, Columbia, and Kansas State University respectively. Diane is an active member of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management’s Board Governance Affinity Group.  Her favorite pastime outside of work is playing with Sachi, her Shiba Inu.
